Library Mah Jongg
Tuesday June 16 at 3pm
Please note new day and time! Beginners are welcome to play Mah Jongg at the library! All levels are welcome as those more familiar with the game will help those not as familiar. There is no formal instruction. Registration is required, space is limited and begins on June 3

Writing Workshop with Prof. Nancy Shuster
continues Wednesday June 17 and June 24 at 1pm
Join Professor Nancy Shuster for a fun writing program. Various types of writing will be reviewed. We will do short prompts in class to get you stimulated. Then we will focus on the type of writing that interests you. Students can share their writing in class so that we can discuss what they have written. By talking and listening, you will get input from others. Class will meet weekly for 4 sessions at the library. Sign up early since class size is limited to 10 students. No prior writing experience is needed.

All ages are welcome to join us for some indoor LED Mini Golf run by One Up Games! This event is perfect for all ages, especially families. Help us kick off summer reading with a few rounds of mini golf lit up by LED lights with LED golf balls too! Registration is required and begins on June 8th.

Meditation for Healthy Living with Dr. Post

We try to exercise and eat right to keep us fit and healthy, but doctors are now recognizing that a positive attitude and ‘food for the soul’ are just as important. Discover a simple meditation technique that can melt away stress and be a powerful addition to a healthy living regimen. Facilitated by Dr. Alan Post, long time meditator and contributing author to "Meditation as Medication for the Soul" by Rajinder Singh who has been practicing meditation for over 30 years.

Cheryl Chipman is a URI Master Gardner, a native New Englander and a lifetime gardener! Cheryl is a self-taught herbalist and has studied their history, culture, culinary and healing uses. Cheryl’s other gardening passion is flowering perennials and growing vegetables. But truth be known, Cheryl enjoys working in the pumpkin patch, pruning the grape arbor or planning next year's plantings! She is happiest when her hands are in the dirt.
